At Barbara Ondo Designs, every project, whether a renovation, new construction, or commercial build-out, follows a seamless, collaborative process. Our goal is to bring your vision to life with clarity, creativity, and precision while making the journey enjoyable from start to finish.
1. Discovery & Consultation
We begin by getting to know you and your project. During this phase, we review architectural plans (if available), talk through goals, budget, and timeline, and gather inspiration to understand your vision and lifestyle needs.
2. Concept Development
Next, we translate your vision into initial design concepts. This stage often includes mood boards, sketches, and space plans that capture the look and feel of your project, setting the foundation for a cohesive design direction.
3. Design Development

Our Boutique Studio
My husband and I just completed building a custom home with Anthem Builders and we worked with Interior Designer Caleigh Hofstra with Barbara Ondo Designs. We started working with Caleigh a few months before breaking ground, and with her guidance and expertise, we chose every interior and exterior detail of the home. The way Caleigh smoothly moved us through the many design choices was very impressive, and she has a knack and flare for making it fun! If we had questions while Caleigh was on her honeymoon, Barbara Ondo knew every aspect of our project and was ready to step in. Caleigh also has wonderful working relationships with design vendors and businesses throughout Jacksonville, and it’s obvious how much they respect and appreciate her professionalism and expertise.
